I have blogged about my calling to ministry in various posts, but here's a synopsis:
Since baptism, confirmation and involvement in church life, I have learned that God is calling me to wider ministry. My family remain my priority, but I am involved in other work that fits in with them.
I currently help lead the biweekly Pram Service for under-5s and help with the monthly women's social group. I am on the Baptism Preparation Team, which meets with parents and their babies and helps them understand the meanings of baptism and faith.
I am about to finish the second year of an academic lay ministry course run by our Diocese; next year I hope to specialise in the Pastoral Care option. After that, who knows? (God knows.)
